Length of surgery:
Breast reduction usually takes four to six hours, depending on the patient.
Recovery and post-op care:
After this surgery it is common for your chest to be temporarily swollen, bruised and tender. It is also common to experience sensation or numbness. All of this can last from several days to two weeks, depending on the extent of the surgery. After your procedure, you will need to wear compression garments for anywhere up to six weeks to keep your skin tight and help with skin-remodelling. After surgery, it is important to restrict activity for a few days, until light activities can be resumed. Most clients can return to light work within three to seven days, and more strenuous work after two to three weeks.
Length of stay:
It is recommended you stay on holiday for 10 to 14 days. During this time you will have follow-up appointments with your surgeon. To get the most out of your recovery time we suggest you partake in gentle exercise, yoga classes and treat yourself to some pampering. If you are feeling up to it, there is plenty to see and do in Phuket, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
