Length of surgery:
Breast lift surgery usually takes two to three hours to perform, depending on the extent of surgery, and often requires at least one night’s stay in hospital.
Recovery and post-op care:
After your surgery, you will be bandaged or in a surgical bra. Because skin is removed and tissue is rearranged it takes time for the swelling to subside and your breasts to settle. You can expect to be bruised, sore and swollen, but your surgeon will provide you with painkillers. It is important you discuss with your surgeon what to do and not to do during your recovery time as this is unique for each client. You can expect an average recovery time of seven to ten days. During the first six weeks, you will probably be advised to avoid exercise or lifting anything heavy. After this time you should be able to resume normal activity. Bandages are often removed after several days, and after that, it is often recommended you wear an athletic or support bra until swelling subsides.
It is imperative to understand that it may take several months for your breasts to settle into their new place. The full results of your augmentation may not be visible for many weeks. Feeling in your nipples may be temporarily reduced, but it usually returns to normal as your breasts heal.
Length of stay:
It is recommended you stay on holiday for 10 nights, during which time you will have follow up appointments with your surgeon. To get the most out of your recovery time we suggest you partake in gentle exercise, yoga classes and treat yourself to some pampering. If you are feeling up to it, there is plenty to see and do in Phuket, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
