Length of surgery:
A back lift commonly takes two to three hours.
The length of surgery depends on the extent of the procedure, and commonly requires at least one night’s stay in hospital.
Recovery and post-op care:
Drains are often placed in your body and you are given compression garments to wear for support after the surgery. You are advised to take it easy for the first couple of days and you will have restricted your activity. Within two weeks you will start to progress to full activity, and most clients can return to a desk job two to three weeks after surgery. In order to give your body time to heal, it is recommended you wear some form of compression garments for six weeks after your surgery and also refrain from any heavy lifting or strenuous activity.
Length of Stay:
Most surgeons recommend staying on holiday for 10 days. During this time you will have regular check-ups. To get the most out of your recovery time we suggest you partake in gentle exercise, yoga classes and treat yourself to some pampering. If you are feeling up to it, there is plenty to see and do in Phuket, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
