Arrival Information

As soon as you fly in from New Zealand or elsewhere you’ll be in our safe hands. You will collected from the airport by one of our drivers and taken directly to your hotel where a meeting with a member of our ground staff will be arranged. Our ground staff will tell you everything you need to know about the city of Kuala Lumpur, your hotel or apartment, Malaysian customs and so on. They will also introduce you to your cosmetic surgeon (usually the following day).

As part of this primary consultation with your surgeon, you will undergo all the usual tests such as blood tests, blood pressure, heart rate, etc. which are required prior to any surgical procedure. During this meeting you will also fill out all the necessary documentation for your cosmetic surgery abroad and make payment for your admission to the clinic or hospital.

This meeting is the time when we will address any remaining queries or concerns you may have.

Arrival and Pickup in Kuala Lumpur for Your Cosmetic Surgery Holiday

When your flight from New Zealand, Australia or elsewhere lands at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), one of our drivers will be waiting for you in the International Arrivals Lounge. You will enter this area after going through baggage collection and customs and our drivers are usually waiting on the left as you enter, holding a sign bearing your name.

At peak periods there can be many tens of people waiting in this area, most holding signs. If you have a very common name such as Jane Smith, please make doubly sure you have found the correct driver. If you cannot find your driver, DO NOT leave the arrivals lounge. There will be a number you can call on your ‘pre-departure documentation’ if you have any problems locating your driver. It is essential that you remain in the International Arrivals Lounge even if you cannot find your driver.

Other taxi drivers:
You will more than likely be approached by other drivers asking for you to get a taxi, just politely decline them, saying that you are being picked up. Take no notice if a driver says that your driver is late and you need to get a taxi, these drivers are just trying to get your business. They may even claim to be your driver, or a replacement. If they do not have your name on a card, they are not your driver.

Instead, please call your Ground Service Manager’s number, found in your ‘pre-departure documents’ if you have any problems locating our driver.

The ground staff in Malaysia are members of MANZA (Malaysia, Australia and NZ Association) a registered charity. They have been in the Medical Tourism Industry for several years and will make you feel very welcome. They are very familiar with local culture and customs so if there’s anything you want to know, just ask and they’ll be happy to share their knowledge.

Our ground staff also know Kuala Lumpur city intimately and can offer you the best advice as to how to spend your holiday time around the surgery; where to eat, where to shop and things to see and do.

You can rest assured that you will be made to feel comfortable and at ease through our supportive and professional team in Malaysia.

Welcome Meeting

Shortly after you arrive at your hotel, you will be contacted by a member of our team who will arrange to come and visit you in your hotel. However should you arrive after 8pm, you will be contacted the following morning to arrange a `welcome meeting´ with your Beautiful You Holidays representative.

They will take you through the finer details of your cosmetic surgery holiday, details about the surgery, your itinerary and any other cosmetic procedures that you may like whilst in Malaysia.

You may also want to consider having before and after photos taken, we need to know this in advance so we can plan all the necessary appointments.

At Beautiful You Holidays we want you to have an amazing experience while having cosmetic surgery abroad, so please use this meeting time with your Beautiful You Holidays representative to ask questions and confirm details and times for everything. We are here to make sure your stay is as pleasant and as comfortable as possible.

Accommodation package

Your cosmetic surgery holiday package includes your hospital nights (if required), your hotel room or apartment and a daily breakfast for two (or four if in a two bedroom apartment) for the entire duration of your stay.

We work very closely with our accommodation providers and if you prefer, your breakfast can be delivered to your room each morning, however you are more than welcome to join the other guests in the restaurant if you prefer.

If you’d like to stay a little longer, please discuss this with your Beautiful You Holidays representative or a member of our ground staff.

The following are not included in our cosmetic surgery abroad packages and therefore must be paid directly to the hotel or apartment:

  • Room service meals
  • Beverages
  • Laundry
  • Pamper rejuvenation services
  • Personal car hire

Weather in Malaysia

Malaysia provides the perfect climate for cosmetic surgery holidays. The weather is warm but not uncomfortably so, and all our hotel rooms and apartments are fully air conditioned.

Malaysia doesn’t differ that much in temperature throughout the year as it is within the tropics, however it does have a wet and a dry season.

What is the temperature like in Malaysia?
The average temperature in Kuala Lumpur hovers between 22º and 32º Celsius and is usually very humid.

When is the wet season?
November/December to March/April.

Will there be air conditioning?
Everywhere has air conditioning, including taxis and the train, so the heat is not uncomfortable.

Care in Malaysia

We have a dedicated Beautiful You Holidays manager in Malaysia, as well as a team of very experienced representatives on the ground to assist and support you whilst having cosmetic surgery abroad.

The Manager is contactable 24 hours a day for emergencies during your stay, and you can also call our office in New Zealand if needed.

We have extended office hours, including weekends and evenings as necessary, so you will never feel abandoned.

Additional services
Your cosmetic surgery holiday includes all airport and medical transfers, including follow up appointments.

Additional cosmetic plastic surgery or pampering treatments:
If you would like dental, LASIK/laser eye surgery or pampering treatments such as a manicure, pedicure, facial, massage, etc., our dedicated team will assist you in making the appointments and transferring you to and from your appointments as required.

Appointment confirmation:
We will confirm additional appointments during your cosmetic surgery holiday package as they will depend on you and how you feel as you recover from your cosmetic surgery.

Please note that we ask you to give as much notice as possible for all appointments and transfers, as cosmetic surgeons, dentists and other services are usually extremely busy.
