Why should I choose Malaysia for my cosmetic plastic surgery holiday?
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital city is home to world-class private hospitals, highly skilled and experienced cosmetic surgeons and an exchange rate which makes cosmetic surgery abroad much more affordable than in New Zealand or Australia.
Can I have more than one cosmetic surgery procedure during my visit?
It is not uncommon for our customers to have multiple cosmetic surgery procedures such as a tummy tuck & face lift, breast augmentation & rhinoplasty. You can also have cosmetic dentistry and corrective laser eye surgery whilst you’re here. Have a look at our Prices & Packages section to get an idea of what is available, or contact us for a consultation.
What qualifications do the cosmetic surgeons hold?
All of our cosmetic surgeons are Board Certified F.R.C.S. (Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons). They have studied and worked in the UK, USA, Australia and throughout the world. They have specialised in a variety of areas and are on par with leading cosmetic surgeons in your own country. The low cost of surgery in Malaysia does not imply low quality. You can find out more about our team of surgeons on our Cosmetic Surgeons page.
What is the quality and standard of care in Malaysia?
Malaysia’s capital city Kuala Lumpur is very modern. The hospitals we operate from have all been accredited to ISO9001, an international standard. This means the quality, cleanliness and standards are at least comparable to private hospitals at home, and at best, far superior.
Why should I choose Beautiful You Holidays - Wouldn´t it be cheaper to do it all myself?

Why are the prices so much cheaper than at home?
The cost of living is naturally cheaper in South East Asia than it is in New Zealand and Australia. The exchange rate between the NZD/AUD and the Malaysian Ringgit is also very favourable, and coupled with the fact that no tax is charged on medical treatments in Malaysia adds up to very competitive prices. We do not provide ‘cut-price’ cosmetic surgery. We have simply discovered that the level of expertise and healthcare in Malaysia is as good as anywhere in the western world, where the cost of cosmetic surgery is prohibitive to most.
What is the post-cosmetic plastic surgery care like?

What are the medical preconditions for cosmetic plastic surgery?
We require that you send recent photographs of yourself and any medical information you have. From this your cosmetic surgeon will carefully assess you and may contact you to ask additional questions. If you have an ongoing or prior condition, you may be required to obtain a medical report from your doctor. We also ask you to fill out a medical questionnaire which your cosmetic surgeon will see before you are accepted for surgery.
I smoke - will this affect my cosmetic plastic surgery?
Smoking and surgery do not mix. For any surgery, anywhere in the world you will be advised to abstain from smoking at least three weeks before you go in for surgery. Smoking interferes with the healing and recovery process of almost all surgical treatments. Smokers also require higher doses of anaesthetic as the risk of the coughing whilst sedated is much higher. If you want the very best results, stop smoking for at least three weeks before and four weeks afterwards. His may sound harsh to an avid smoker, but it’s a fact.
What happens in the case of a complication with the treatments?
All surgery procedures carry a risk and cosmetic surgery is no different. This is the same in New Zealand, Australia, the USA, Europe and in Malaysia. We have provided an FAQ page for Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), Breast Augmentation & Face Lift, each of which aims to address all aspects of the treatment. Your cosmetic surgeon will also fully explain any complications which may arise and should your surgeon feel you are not suitable or are not in good enough health to undergo surgery, they will say so. We have an excellent programme of follow up care and keep a very close eye on you whilst you recover. Your welfare is our primary concern.
